The Duckbill root-ball anchoring system has many advantages over traditional staking and is suitable for all root-balled trees. It is underground and discreet and effective. The system holds the root ball in position by driving 3 anchors with guys into the bottom of the tree pit and then fastening these to a ratchet strap. This anchor system allows natural trunk movement for the tree which helps to form a strong trunk on the tree. It eliminates the danger of the tree snapping just above the stake used in traditional tree staking. It is also aesthetically pleasing as there are no visible stakes or ties above ground.
